As a longtime fan of mystery novels and shows, I see understanding our world as a detective investigation into the evidence, and the layered meaning that has led to this moment; evidence left by history, language, art, science, anthropology, philosophy, journalism, and the various disciplines passed to us from generations of human endeavor to observe and understand existence.
